Agreement Lentink and Dutch tax authorities

The way that the Dutch tax authorities monitor compliance with tax regulations is changing. Some time ago, the tax authorities introduced so-called ‘horizontal monitoring’. It started with a trial period during which the tax authorities concluded horizontal monitoring agreements with extremely large companies.
In 2010, horizontal monitoring agreements were also concluded with brokers in the SME sector. At the end of 2011, Lentink also concluded a horizontal monitoring agreement with the tax authorities.

The fact that such an agreement has been concluded means that the tax authorities have confidence in how Lentink organises its tax-related operating processes for clients. As a result, Lentink’s clients can now agree arrangements on filing returns for corporation tax, income tax, VAT and wage tax within the scope of the agreement. The benefits to clients are quicker handling of returns and a fast response by the tax authorities to any tax issues raised.
